It is so hard to believe that my baby girl will be 1 month old this Thursday! It feels like she gets bigger every day. We had her 2 week check up and she was 8 lbs. 5 oz. which is great! Then, last week she went through a growth spurt(and wanted to eat every hour...woo hoo that was fun!) and weighed 9 lbs. 6oz. this past Thursday! She is really starting to fill out her clothes and has moved on to size 1 diapers!
Ella and I also started going to Square One which is a wonderful Bible Study and small group for first time moms at our church, Watermark. It has been such a blessing to be in community with other new moms and hear the wisdom of moms with grown children. Being a new mom, there are always so many questions and it has been really nice to have other women to discuss these things with.
As for sleeping, Ella has been doing really good! She usually feeds around 10 or 10:30 then wakes up for 2 feedings at night. Usually she gives us about a 4-5 hour stretch between feedings at night which has been really nice for getting a little shut eye. Although, there are several nights where she decides to keep us on our toes and opt for some "stare at you while I am wide awake at 3am" time. We know the Lord is teaching us so much through being new parents, and we are definitely learning patience during those long nights and taking time to enjoy those sweet snuggles even when we are exhausted.
